a dry erase board that speaks to my soul
“The soul of a journey is liberty, perfect liberty, to think, feel, do as one pleases.” - William Hazlitt (1778 - 1830) {image captured at Bacchus Restaurant, New Paltz, NY} Lake Minnewaska State Park, New Paltz, NY

long walk home
My great “surprise” adventure started yesterday! I left Austin bright and early to embark on quite a day of travel: a flight to Philadelphia, three trains up through Jersey and a car ride on over to Giant’s Stadium to tailgate for Springsteen with the DiMedio’s and Jersey’s finest fans. the city of intense humidity 30th street station rain is a beautiful accessory...

which way to the beach?
Few things in life grant me the simple satisfaction of waking up only to slip into a bathing suit and out the door to the nearest body of water. That is summer. And while with age summer fades into the obscurity of yearly events, I refuse to let such an opportunity pass by altogether. I am thrilled to be leaving Austin tomorrow and finding serenity on the gulf coast shore of Mustang Island State...
