I have to admit I have a certain difficulty in writing. I wrote: ‘The weather is fine. The train enters the station.’ I then spent hours wondering why I could not just as well have written the opposite: ‘The train enters the station. The weather is fine,’ or ‘It is raining’. Things are more straightforward in the cinema. The weather is fine and the train enters the station at the same time. There is an inevitability about it. You have to take the plunge.Godard (via)
